The arrival of August summons in the last part of summer with warm days, flowers in bloom and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables in season. If you’re planning to do some work in your garden this month, don’t forget to take pictures or make notes of plants you like while they are all at the peak of their growth. While savoring these fleeting moments of summer in your garden and home, here are a few tasks to do now to help autumn run more smoothly for you and your family.

Organize the Garage

Get rid of old and unused objects and donate items still in good condition.

Upgrade Your Locks

Install smart home locks to make your home more secure.

Clean Your Refrigerator

Wash each sheld with soap and water and throw out old food.

Clean Carpets and Floors

Get rid of the summer dirt and grim by mopping your floors and vaccuming your carpets.

Exterminate Insects

Apply wasp treatments to nests and drain areas that are holding water.

Exaime the Exterior of your Home

Repair any loose shingles or siding before winter weather.
