Community Spot Light: Dinosaur Park

April 4, 2017

As spring approaches and I am eager to break this cabin fever with some fun in the fun outside. It has been my goal to check out the various local parks to see what they offer and the environment they are set in search of our favorite.

Through the story times we attend at Cascades I had heard great things about “Dinosaur Park” - what a name right - sets the expectations high! Our family was able to check it out together the other weekend and it did not disappoint.

The park is officially called Ashburn Park located at 43645 Partlow Rd Ashburn, VA 20147 in the heart of Old Ashburn.

The park hits all the key items:

Tot Lot

Swings

Restrooms

Walking/Hiking Trail * near a creek

Picnic Pavilion *can be reserved for parties call the park line to set up reservation 703-777-0343.

The best part of the park is it has separate age appropriate play areas that are all connected but clearly spread out. That way older kids are not running around all over the little ones and they are able to play with and meet other kids.

The Dinos come in with the themes on the different play sets and the one set back the furthest looks like a T-Rex.

Julianna loved the fire engine truck the most. Anything that gets her in the driving wheel and lets her scream honk-honk is a winner.

The park is right off of a nice private paved walking trail that has beautiful scenery.

Highly recommend this park and will be going back many times in the future.
