November Home Maintenance Checklist

November brings a time to enjoy falling leaves, bonfires, crisp weather and Thanksgiving celebrations. With the winter holidays fast approaching, it’s also a good time to make sure your home is ready for guests and the winter months ahead.

Our checklist this month includes small, quick and easy tasks you can do now to get a jump start on your holiday hosting preparation so you can enjoy friends and family when they arrive.

Replace Chair Floor Protectors:

Add or replease cloor protectors to your chairs and other highly used furniture.

Clean Your Disposal:

Run lemon rind and ice cubes through the garbage disposal to keep it smelling fresh. The ice chunks scour the blades and scrape away debris.

Clean Your Kitchen Exhaust Fan:

Remove exhaust fan screens and scrub with a mild detergent or run through the dishwasher.

Check Fire Extinguisher:

Locate your fire extingusher and check that their gauge shows enough pressure.

Stock Up & Prepare for Winter:

Buy shovel and ice melting products now so you will be ready for winter.

Check Bathroom Caulk:

Use diluted bleach to clean caulk and replace worn out caulking.

Clean Out Refrigerator:

Clean out your pantry and refrigerator in preparation for turkey day.
